Tips
for Latina Makeup
For Latina women, looking good is easy. Achieving the best results with
makeup is all about choosing the makeup product that complements best
her complexion. It is best to look for bold blushes that match
beautifully with the naturally flushed color of the Latina’s olive skin.
Eyes
Use brown eyeliner to define your eyes and eye shadows and mascara that
will complement your brown eye color. The usual colors that will look
best on you would be browns, olives and plums.
Foundation

Latina
women usually have yellow-orange undertone in their complexion. Look for
foundation that matches your skin tone. Yellow-orange foundations can
cover you for this. A common frustration for Latina women is having a
slightly green cast during the winter. To counter this, use a deep
bronzing powder to give you a tanned and warm look. Apply blush in the
apples of your cheeks because those rosy colors work great in
counteracting green.
Choosing colors
The first thing that Latina women should avoid are fuchsias and jewel
tones. Apply bright color somewhere on your face but don’t put them
everywhere. Keep things smoky with rich and deep hues – plum, deep pink,
shades of wines and rose families can be used on your lips and cheeks.
Use eye shadows that play with the colors in the cocoa, mahogany and
sable families.
Lips
It’s obvious that lips are the part of your face you can show glamour.
Deep red lipsticks can look lovely in a Hispanic woman since most of
them have natural beautiful dark colored lips. You can also play with
the finish by layering your matte lips with a gloss or shimmer. This
way, your lips will sparkle and get the attention it deserves. Although
softer tones of lipstick may look beautiful on a Latina woman, it is
best to avoid bright colors like corals and oranges. Latinas should also
stay away from lip pencils because they tend to have fuller lips
already.
